This significant event brought together MD/CEOs of several Tata companies, senior Tata leaders, and over 230+ ethics and affirmative action community members across Tata companies. Additionally, more than 200+ Tata colleagues joined virtually.

A co-partnered International Compliance Association and LRN Masterclass, on "Transforming Your Code of Conduct", Masterclass. An engaging session which delivered some valuable insights on transforming codes of conduct to address emerging risks and strengthen workplace ethics. We also discussed how traditional formats are still preferred over digital, indicating a need for better communication on digital tools' value.
In partnership with the International Compliance Association, we brought together industry leaders to explore fresh ideas and innovative strategies in compliance and ethics communication. One recurring theme throughout the day was the importance of keeping the code of conduct simple yet impactful. Ideas like splitting the code into digestible segments for different audiences and making the code more visual were discussed, with many pointing to the value of innovative approaches to help employees better understand and apply the code in their daily work. I was thrilled to share some of the data from LRN’s Benchmark of Ethical Culture report and talk about how to measure culture.
The event began with an overview of insights from LRN’s newly published 2024 Code of Conduct Report, which explores the vital link between an organization’s code of conduct (CoC) and its overall business performance.
I was joined by Rebecca Mayfield, Charlie Patrick and Tim Tyler to deliver a packed session to discuss valuable insights on transforming codes of conduct to address emerging risks and strengthen workplace ethics. 💡💬
Over the past two decades, codes of conduct have evolved from lengthy rulebooks to values-based guidelines. We explored employee engagement with company codes and desired changes.
The session also highlighted the critical role of people managers in code communication, the generational impact on compliance engagement, and bridging the gap between leadership and employee perceptions of the code.
